Maritime Freight : Port Congestion and Delays

192 vues
gradual increase in port congestion that may result in delayed deliveries or pick-ups and unplanned costs

Dear Client, Dear Agent,

We would like to inform you of recent challenges in maritime transport.

Please note that further to the progressive diversion of containerized vessels to and from Asia via the Cape of Good Hope, we are experiencing a gradual increase in port congestion that may result in delayed deliveries or pick-ups that may result in additional costs, such as port storage, etc.

These issues are exacerbated by ongoing actions from French farmers that are blocking major highways near major French cities in protest of working conditions and European agricultural regulations

Furthermore, French port workers have scheduled several half-day strikes the 5th, 7th and 9th of February.
Additional disruptions resulting in supplementary delays or costs are to be anticipated.

Rest assured that the Qualitair&Sea Team is fully engaged to identify and implement any and all options whenever possible to minimize the impact of the aforementioned context.
