
The planned strikes by French dockers and port workers for March have been cancelled

The National Federation of Ports and Docks CGT announces the suspension of social movements starting March 17, 2025.
This decision follows a meeting on 14 March, attended by representatives from the Ministries of Transportand Labor, the prime Ministre's office (Matignon), and employer and industry associations UNIM (Union Nationale des Industries de la Manutention dans les Ports Français) and UPF (Union des Ports de France).
The discussion allowed all parties to review the history of the conflict and explore constructive solution. The FNPD C.G.T. therefore acknowledges the government's willingness to continue negotiations.
As a result, the National Federation of Ports and Docks CGT (FNPD CGT) has decided to suspend social movements starting March 17, 2025, acknowledging the government’s willingness to continue negotiations.
